The DeLand Police Department is asking the public for help to locate a 20-year-old man who is wanted in connection with the murder of a man outside of Florida Technical College in May.
Terrell J. Maddox is wanted on several charges, including first-degree murder, in connection with an attempted car-jacking that occurred on May 22 outside of the college, which is located at 1199 South Woodland Boulevard.
Maddox will be the fourth to be charged with first-degree murder in connection to the incident, where a man was shot and later died of his injuries. The other three suspects, 22-year-old John Torres, 21-year-old Isaiah Thomas, and 22-year-old Nassan Bacon, are already in police custody.
According to police, Maddox’s last known address is in New Smyrna Beach, but he is known to frequent the Daytona Beach area. He is described as a black male with black hair, and brown eyes, standing about 5 feet 9 inches tall.
Police say Maddox should be considered armed and dangerous.
Maddox has an active warrant for his arrest for first-degree murder, carjacking, and burglary with assault or battery, according to DPD.
