Glen A. Schumacher, 90, of Orlando, FL was called home by his Lord and Savior on July 23, 2022.
He was born in Dundee, IL on October 28, 1931. Glen graduated from Dundee High School and studied accounting at Jones Business College in Orlando.
He married Eileen (Schroeder) Schumacher on May 30, 1952.
He served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller, during the Korean War, while stationed in Japan.
Glen had a career in Industrial Distribution, working for Miller Bearings, Inc. for more than 30 years prior to retiring. He started with the company in 1957 as a Stock Clerk, and ended his career in 1995 as Vice President of Operations.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he served as an elder and held various other positions. He had a passion for his Lord, his family, golfing and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Eileen, and children, Glen R. Schumacher (Beth), Carolyn Burnette, Nancy Gianfalla, Gary Schumacher (Kathy), and Steve Schumacher (Sheryl). He also had 10 grandchildren, Jennifer Burnette Harris (Brandon), Christy Burnette (Jeremy), Tim Gianfalla (Catie), Kelley Schumacher Lane (Aeron), Amy Schumacher, Matt Schumacher (Hannah), Jessica Schumacher (Tyler), Ashley Schumacher Handrick (Tim), Scott Schumacher (Megan) and Ethan Schumacher, as well as 20 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Orlando on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 1:00 PM.
