Herbert Benjamin 1659081156

We regretfully announce the passing of Herbert Benjamin on July 24, 2022, due to natural causes.
Herbert Benjamin was born on March 18, 1941, in Princes Town, Trinidad and Tobago, to Annie Dorothy Innis and Claudius Benjamin. Herbert emigrated to the United States of America in 1967. Through his love of cars, especially Fords, he began a lifelong career as a Master Mechanic with Triboro Coach Corporation in New York. Herbert retired in 1990, relocated to Kissimmee, Florida, and later lived in Palm Bay.

Herbert was an avid fisherman, lover of all yard sales, flea markets, and a keen collector of die-cast cars. On his nightstand, you would find several puzzles and crossword books. Herbert kept his family and friends rolling with laughter because he found humour in the most mundane circumstances.

Herbert is survived by his wife, Rosie Sandra Gibbons-Benjamin, and his sons Ray Benjamin, Darryll Thomas and Rosston Deonarine. Daughters Denise Colgan, Shelly-Ann Nairn and Nansis Deonarine. He was the grandfather of Taurean, Kristie, Heather, Tiffany, Tia, Demi, Danielle, Alexandria, Darryll Jr, Jadah, Jade’, Kenzie and Reace. Great grandfather of Anaiyah, Izaiah, Jahlil, Brea, Isaac and Alexander. Sisters Josephine, Sylvia, Enid and Sybil. Father-in-law of Paul, Lynden, Jonelle and Mary. Herbert had an incredibly close relationship with his cousins Marcia and David Ramdhanie and his nephew Everette Williams.

He is also survived by the Benjamins, Gobins, and extended family and friends.

Visitations will be held on August 1, 2022, at the Osceola Memory Gardens, with the family viewing from 9 am to 10 am and the public viewing from 10 am to 11 am. The memorial service begins at 11 am.
