Family of five found dead in Lake Nona area from apparent murder-suicide

A family of five was found dead by Orlando police today during a wellness check in Lake Nona.

On Tuesday, August 2, Orlando Police Department East Patrol officers responded to a residence in the area of Lake District Lane, near the Lake Nona district, for a well-being check around 1 p.m.

After entering the residence, officers discovered the bodies of three adults and two children. All individuals were deceased.

Authorities believe the deaths were a result of a murder-suicide.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further information has been provided by police.
