Free backpacks this weekend in Osceola County

Free backpacks will be distributed this weekend in Osceola County in preparation of the beginning of the school year.

Osceola County staff and officials, including District 1 Commissioner Peggy Choudhry, will distribute back-to-school backpacks and supplies to students on Saturday, August 6, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Salvation Army located at 700 Union Street in Kissimmee.

Only drive-thru distribution will be available, and a child must be present to receive a backpack or supplies.
