Marie Louise Demarbaix Cerenzio was born on June 25, 1927 in Lens, Belgium. She died peacefully on July 26, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 95 in Winter Springs, Florida.
Toward the end of WW II the enemy took over her sweet little country town. Shortly after that the future love of her life, Army Sgt. Peter F. Cerenzio, a survivor of the landing at Omaha Beach, and his unit chased the enemy out of her town and they became heroes. They fell in love and were married there November 14, 1945. When her war bride ship arrived in New York City, she was greeted by her new, loving, large Italian family. She was immediately loved by all, especially her 3 new brothers and 2 sisters.
Marie Louise was the ultimate loving, dedicated Mom to her three children and husband Peter. Despite her career potential and education, she chose to dedicate her life to her family.
Whoever Mom met the feedback was always the same, “you have the sweetest Mother.”
We miss you so much Mom! Marie Louise is survived by her sons Don Cerenzio and his wife Fonda, Steven Cerenzio and his wife Denise. Her daughter, Tina Louise Cerenzio Pierson predeceased her. Marie Louise had six grandchildren and eight great-children.
Services will be held at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Winter Springs, Florida on Friday, August 19 at 11 AM. Immediately followed by a Celebration of Life Reception.
