The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has provided the identities of two brothers who were killed, one by an officer, during an altercation at an Orlando hotel this weekend.

Deputies identified 21-year-old Dylan Jimenez and 28-year-old Bryan Richardson, who are brothers, as the men who were killed during a shooting on Saturday, August 6, at the Heritage Hotel, which is located at 7900 S. Orange Blossom Trail.

According to police, the brothers were involved in an altercation with a third man, who has not been identified by police, at around 12:30 p.m. on the exterior portion of the hotel.

During the altercation, Jimenez and the third man shot at each other, each one striking the other. After his brother was shot, Richardson ran with his brother to the north side of the hotel, where Jimenez collapsed.

As deputies arrived on the scene and attempted to render medical aid to Jimenez, they were alerted to the fact that Richardson was nearby holding a gun.

Richardson did not comply with commands from deputies, who shot him as a result, according to OCSO.

Both Richardson and Jimenez were pronounced dead at the hospital.

The third man involved in the initial shooting is expected to survive.

The deputy who shot Richardson has been employed with OCSO since 2018. His name has not been released, per Marsy’s Law.
