Driver killed after semi-truck overturns on I-4 exit ramp

A semi-truck driver was killed after the vehicle he was operating overturned and collided with a guardrail on Interstate 4.

The accident took place on Wednesday, August 10, at around 6:12 a.m. on the westbound I-4 exit ramp to eastbound Osceola Parkway, near mile marker 65 in Kissimmee.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver, a 31-year-old Dundee man, failed to negotiate a curve, causing the semi-truck to run of the roadway and collide with the inside shoulder guardrail. The truck then overturned onto its left side.

The man was the only occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

FHP Traffic Homicide Investigators are currently investigating the crash and will provide additional details as they become available.
