A new park that will honor a dozen past Orlando residents who served the Parramore-Holden Community is set to open this month.
On Tuesday, August 30, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Orlando officials, including Mayor Buddy Dyer, will celebrate the grand opening of Luminary Green Park, a new, 2.3-acre park in the heart of the city’s Creative Village.
The new park will feature an iconic trellis, with a city-themed photo spot scheduled for construction in the near future.
This fall, the city will dedicate an inaugural class of 12 luminaries who dedicated parts of their lives to serving the Parramore-Holden Community.
