Shredding, prescription drug disposal event in Orlando this weekend

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office will host a shredding event as part of its ongoing shred-a-thon series this weekend.

The event will take place on Saturday, August 20, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Olympia High School, which is located at 4301 Apopka Vineland Road in Orlando.

No registration is needed for the drive-thru event. All attendees should place their items to shred in the trunk of the vehicle.

In addition to sensitive documents and paper, the sheriff’s office will accept prescription drugs for disposal.
