Connecticut sex offender on run for over decade captured in Osceola County

A 62-year-old sex offender who has been on the run from authorities in Connecticut for 11 years, was arrested last week by Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

Rick A. Miner was arrested on Friday, August 26, by Osceola police in connection with crimes he committed in Connecticut.

Miner is facing multiple charges, including lewd and lascivious behavior of a victim under the age of 18.

Police say that Miner was on the run in Connecticut for over a decade before striking “again in our backyard.”

Miner made his first court appearance over the weekend and was assigned a public defender on Monday, August 29.
