Charles Robert Emely Jr born on January 4, 1944 in Camden New Jersey to Anna and Charles Emely. Bob grew up in New Jersey and attended Camden County Vocational School where he received a diploma in Electronics.
Bob and Judy met at an MYF youth camp in Keswick MD in January 1960. The first time Judy saw Bob, they were sitting across from each other at a dinner table. Judy noticed him wearing an “ugly sweater” and ever since it has been brought up time and time again. He LOVED that sweater and she HATED it. LOL It was something they both laughed about year after year.
They began dating and attended Judy’s Junior prom in 1962 and High School prom in 1963. They were married on November 7, 1964. Bob began working as an engineer at GE in Philadelphia. They were blessed with a son, Bob, in January 1967 and another son, Shawn, in October 1969.
When his job at GE ended, Bob moved his family to Orlando Florida in 1978 where he began working on Spaceship Earth at Epcot, Disney World.
Bob and his family became members of Pine Castle United Methodist Church in 1980. They enjoyed attending the Vineyard Sunday School Class especially when David Denyer taught the class. He always held our interest when teaching God’s word. Truly a God given gift.
After leaving there Bob worked as an auto mechanic for many years with Don Dunn in Orlando. Don became a good friend to Bob and because of their friendship, Don was instrumental in Bob receiving Jesus as his Savior on December 8, 1984.
After retiring, Bob and Judy moved to Gulfstream Harbor in Orlando in 2006. They transferred their church membership to Spring of Life where Bob became the first custodian. He enjoyed his work until his health declined and was no longer able to fulfill his duties. They had many happy years there.
Bob helped Judy with the theater group at Gulfstream Harbor; planning and mapping out placement of stands for curtains for the plays along with other things that needed to be done.
Bob was blessed with two granddaughters; Kristi and Jordyn and three great grandchildren, Kaden, Aveena and soon to arrive next month, Raya.
Bob was very handy and resourceful. God gifted him with many talents. He loved the Lord and we know he is with Jesus now and no longer in pain. Bob left this world on August 4, 2022.
