Viral TikTok video shows accused meth trafficker running from Volusia County police

A 42-year-old man who is accused of trafficking methamphetamine and cocaine was caught on video running away from Volusia County police in a moment that has since gone viral.

Cleveland Rahymes was arrested on Monday, September 5, by Volusia County Sheriff’s Office deputies after leading them on a brief foot chase that was captured and shared across TikTok.

Rahymes, who is from Deltona, began running away from police shortly after he was stopped on Monday.

During the video, which has garnered millions of views through TikTok and other platforms, a VCSO deputy is seen chasing Rahymes down the road.

The sheriff’s office released body camera footage of the incident to provide additional details and context on the stop.

Rahymes was caught after a short foot chase and faces a litany of charges, including trafficking in methamphetamine and trafficking in cocaine.

He is currently being held at the Volusia County Jail on $510,500 bond, according to jail records.
