Osceola County emergency crews responded to a small plane that crashed south of St. Cloud yesterday afternoon.
Crews from the Osceola County Fire Rescue, St. Cloud Fire Department, and Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded on Friday, September 9, at around 3 p.m. to the east side of Lake Toho, near Kissimmee Park Road, south of the city of St. Cloud, after receiving reports regarding a plane crash.
Upon arrival, crews discovered that a single-engine plane had crashed in a swampy brush area. Crews waded through waist-deep water and quickly accessed the plane, removing three occupants from the vehicle.
Although the occupants were transported to a local hospital for further treatment, so serious injuries were reported.
Last month, a plane experienced a mechanical failure before the pilot performed an emergency landing on a busy road near the University of Central Florida. No injuries were reported after that incident.
