A 52-year-old Orlando man was killed after his vehicle was struck by another on Edgewater Drive.
The fatal accident took place on Saturday, September 10, at around 11:58 a.m. near the intersection of Edgewater Commerce Parkway and Edgewater Drive.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a 2014 Honda Accord westbound on Edgewater Drive, approaching Edgewater Commerce Parkway. He attempted to make a left turn to travel southbound on Edgewater Commerce Parkway and entered the direct path of a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro being driven by a 53-year-old Orlando man.
The right side of the Accord was struck by the front of the Camaro, according to the report.
The driver of the Accord was transported to AdventHealth South Hospital and was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Camaro was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. A passenger in his vehicle, a 31-year-old Palm Coast man, was transported to the same hospital with minor injuries.
