A 40-year-old Orlando man was arrested and charged with production of child sex abuse material after police seized a video that allegedly shows him raping an eight-year-old child who was previously in his care.
Miguel Diaz Gonzalez was arrested this week on charges of production of child sex abuse materials after local authorities were tipped off by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
According to a criminal complaint filed in federal court, NCMEC received a tip concerning an online media storage account associated with the username “Satans child.” While investigating the account, authorities found child sexual abuse materials.
The account was traced back to Gonzalez’s home in Orlando, where a search warrant was executed shortly thereafter. During their search, authorities uncovered a video that depicted Gonzalez raping an 8-year-old child who was previously under the care of Gonzalez.
Gonzalez made his first court appearance on Monday and has been ordered detained pending the results of a trial. If convicted, Gonzalez faces a minimum mandatory penalty of at least 15 years, and a maximum of up to 30 years in federal prison.
