A bag of fentanyl was found at a local high school by a Volusia County Sheriff’s School Resource Deputy last week.
On Friday, September 9, the SRD at Atlantic High School in Port Orange was notified by a teacher of a suspicious packet discovered by a student. The small packet was found on the floor near the senior locker bay restrooms and contained an unknown powdery substance.
The substance was tested and produced a positive result for fentanyl, according to authorities.
