Hundreds gather for Red Bull wakeboarding event in downtown Orlando

Hundreds of locals gathered at Lake Ivanhoe’s Gaston Edwards Park over the weekend for the Red Bull Double or Nothing wakeboarding event.

After hours of wakeboarding from over a dozen of the world’s best in the sport, Sam C. Brown was crowned this year’s winner. Brown was awarded the $10,000 main prize for his efforts.

“Had so much fun this past weekend and still can’t believe I came away with the win…It’s an honor just to ride in this contest,” said Brown through his Instagram.

The free event, which was open to the public, dates back to 2004, but returned last year for its seventh edition after a decade-long hiatus.

“Love you all and thanks for putting on the best event of the season,” said Brown.
