De’Vonta Sheldon Mathis, 28, of Orlando, departed this life on Saturday, September 10, 2022. De’Vonta was born on April 25, 1994 in Orlando, FL to Turkesa Code and Tommie Mathis. Prior to his demise, he was worked with air duct cleaning services.
He loved spending time with his family and friends. His smile and love for life will live on in the hearts of those who knew him best. De’Vonta enjoyed watching sports and listening to music. He was known for his kindness and his compassion for people. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his mother, Turkesa Code( Harold Green); brothers, Albrian Alshabazz, Harold Green; sisters, Xykeiriua Code, Keibriana Alshabazz; paternal grandparents, Denise Code and Thomas Code; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 4-6PM at the church. A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022, 11:00 AM at New Life COGIC, 3311 N. Powers Drive, Orlando with Pastor Octavius L. Smith, officiating. Interment: Washington Park Cemetery, Orlando.
