The 2-hour program will take place on Saturday, September 24, at 9 a.m. at the Winter Park Police Department, which is located at 500 North Virginia Avenue in Winter Park.

The educational awareness and crime-victim program will provide introductory knowledge to help develop simple, effective habits and skills that can aid in one’s own personal safety.

All women ages 14 and up are welcome. Juveniles will require a guardian’s authorization.

Attendees will be taught the “survival mindset,” as well as be provided with information that may reduce the risk of exposure to violence.
