Karen Kay Jenner Jessup, 73, passed away peacefully in Orlando, FL on September 21st, 2022.
Karen is survived by her sons, Michael S. Jenner of Orlando, FL and Chad A. Jenner (Morgan Jenner) of Lakeland, FL and her four grandsons, Jackson Jenner, Lincoln Jenner, Graham Jenner, and Gunnar Jenner. Karen is also survived by her 7 siblings: Bill Bost (Audrey Bost) of the Valdese, NC area, David Bost (Nancy Bost) of Lakeland, FL, Fran Plunkett (Rick Beal) of Peachtree City, GA, Helen Rainelle of Sanford, FL, Steve Bost (Dee Bost) of Williamsburg, VA, Janet Byers (Jeff Byers) of Statesville, NC, and Jeff Bost of Statesville, NC. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Effie and Clyde Bost of Statesville, NC.
Karen was born in Statesville, NC to William Clyde Bost and Effie (Fincannon) Bost on May 10th, 1949. She graduated from Newport New High School in Newport News, VA. She relocated to Florida and lived most of her life there. She retired from Valencia Community College in Orlando, FL in 2008. Soon she moved to Statesville, NC to be with her parents in their last days before returning to Orlando, FL and her sons and grandsons. They were her pride and joy and she continuously proclaimed loudly, “my son, the fireman and, my son the Marine!”
She was fond of country music, a true and proud Southern gal and cherished any time in the mountains or on the beaches in Florida.
Her Celebration of Life service is scheduled for Saturday, October 15th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at DeGusipe Funeral Home, 905 S. Laurel Avenue in Sanford, FL.
