Waste tire collection event in Seminole County this weekend

Seminole County will host waste tire collection events at two locations this weekend.

On Saturday, October 15, the county will host free waste tire collection events from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Central Transfer Station, which is located at 1950 SR 419 in Longwood, and Seminole County Landfill, which is located at 1930 E. Osceola Road in Geneva.

The event is available only to residents of Seminole County, as well as the citizens of Maitland and Winter Park.

Each resident may dispose of up to five tires, and each vehicle may dispose of a maximum of ten tires from two residents from different households.
