The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help to locate a suspect who stole a victim’s car at gunpoint at a DeBary gas station.
On Monday, October 17, police say the vehicle in this story was stolen during an armed carjacking incident at the 7-Eleven located at 96 N. Charles R. Beall Boulevard in DeBary.
According to police, a 17-year-old male was pumping gas and cleaning his windshield around 8 p.m. at the gas station when he was approached by a suspect in a hoodie and surgical mask.
The suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded that the victim hand over the keys to his vehicle.
The suspect entered the vehicle and fled the scene. The vehicle is described as a beige, 2012 Nissan Altima with Maryland license plate number 9ET4674.
Police are asking the public to avoid making contact with the suspect, who they consider armed and dangerous. If you see the car in question, contact 911.
