Hamilton begins stay at Dr. Phillips Center this week

Hamilton, the world-renowned play that got its start on Broadway, will take up residency in Orlando for a month.

The play will begin offering shows on Wednesday, October 26, at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, which is located at 445 S. Magnolia Avenue in downtown Orlando. Showtimes are available six days a week, Tuesday through Sunday, through November 20. Matinee times begin at 1 p.m. or 2 p.m., while evening shows begin at 8 p.m. (7 p.m. on Sundays).

Hamilton follows the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton as told by Lin-Manuel Miranda. The play is directed by Thomas Kail and choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler. The play has won Tony, Grammy, Pulitzer Prize, and Olivier Awards, as well as a special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.
