Missing 16-year-old killed in northwest Orlando shooting

Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting death of a teen girl that took place in northwest Orlando on Monday evening.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 5300 block of Broken Pine Circle in reference to a shooting on Monday, October 24. Upon arrival, police found the body of De’Shayla Sanaa Ferguson outside of a residence, near a vehicle. Ferguson was suffering from gunshot wounds.

Ferguson was pronounced deceased on the scene.

According to the Orlando Police Department, Ferguson was reported missing over two months ago.

There is no suspect information at this time, and authorities are asking the public to share any information they may have.
