An 54-year-old Osceola man was arrested recently after he was found in possession of child-like sex dolls and files depicting child sex acts .
Edward Nicholas Carney was arrested by police after an investigation by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children division into Carney’s online activities.
According to authorities, Carney was in possession of an “extensive collection” of digital files depicting children performing sexual acts.
After his arrest, authorities discovered that Carney was in possession of multiple child-like sex dolls in his residence. They also discovered an abundance of computer monitors that were set up to display child sexual acts.
Carney is facing 10 counts of possession of photos depicting child sexual performance, as well as three counts of possession of child-like sex dolls. Although Carney’s bond was set at $51,500, court records show that his defense team filed a motion to reduce his bond on Wednesday, October 26.
Carney is scheduled to go to trial in the case on January 3, 2023, with a pretrial conference set for December 7.
