A 27-year-old Winter Garden man was killed after he lost control of his vehicle and flipped it on State Road 429, causing him to be partially ejected.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident took place near mile marker 21 of SR 429 on Thursday, October 27, at around 3:12 p.m.
Authorities say that the 27-year-old was traveling southbound on the highway in a 2009 Mazda Tribute when he overcorrected to the right and began traveling across the southbound lanes.
The vehicle ran off the roadway, struck the guardrail, and began overturning. As a result, the driver was partially ejected and pronounced deceased on the scene.
After the accident, a roadblock was implemented as crews investigated the accident. The road has since been cleared.
