Raymond Alastair Ferguson

Raymond Ferguson of Oviedo, Florida passed away on October 20, 2022 at the age of 86. Mickey was born in Kingston, Jamaica on April 21, 1936. He graduated from Knockalva Agricultural School in Hanover, Jamaica. In December 1962, he married the love of his life, Carmela Ferguson, nee Flores and moved to Queens, New York where they spent over 30 years together building their family and careers.

After 23 years with United Parcel Service, servicing the Central Manhattan area, he retired in 1993 and relocated to Florida where he was able to pursue his interests in home improvement, gardening, painting and traveling.

Mickey was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Lydia, brothers, Francis and Homer and his son, Raymond Jr. He is survived by his wife, Carmela, sisters Pauline, Margot and Peggy and many nieces and nephews.

Mickey’s Celebration of Life will be held at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 90 Weathersfield Ave, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714 on Sunday, November 6 at 2 pm. Visitation begins at 1 pm.
