20-year-old killed in Orange County accident

A 20-year-old Winter Garden man was killed after his pickup truck left a roadway and entered a ditch in Orange County.

The fatal accident took place on Sunday, October 30, just past 5 a.m., according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The 20-year-old man was driving his 2007 Chevy Silverado northbound on Ocoee Apopka Road, south of Demastus Lane. For unknown reasons, the driver lost control of his vehicle and ran off the roadway.

After running off the roadway, the pickup truck struck a mailbox, a fence, and then entered a ditch.

The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
