Man who stole basketball trading cards wanted by Sanford police

The Sanford Police Department is trying to identify a man wanted in connection with the theft of basketball trading cards at a local retailer.

According to SPD, the man featured in this story was seen entering the Target located at 1201 WP Ball Boulevard in Sanford on October 25.

During his visit to the store, the man selected five basketball trading card boxes, swapped the barcodes of those boxes, and scanned the items at a lesser price.

Although he was confronted by a loss prevention officer during his visit, he was able to get away and fled the scene in a silver Nissan Versa.
