Health food inspector

A popular Puerto Rican food truck was forced to temporarily close its doors after the business failed a health inspection last week.

La Isla Del Frappe, which is stationed at 7401 E Colonial Drive, was forced to temporarily close on Tuesday, October 25, after an inspector with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation cited 18 food health code violations.

Four of the violations were considered high priority, including a lack of potable water. According to the report, the business was using a black hose to deliver potable water that was “cloudy” and had a “rust like color.”

The food truck was reinspected on the same day and was permitted to reopen despite 14 of the violations remaining.
