Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) State Trooper Car

A 65-year-old man was killed while riding his motorcycle on Interstate 4 in Sanford on Friday afternoon.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded at approximately 2:52 p.m. on Friday, November 4 to a fatal accident involving three vehicles on I-4, in the area of mile marker 102 in Sanford.

According to FHP officials, the crash involved a 2012 Honda Civic, a 2022 Toyota Tundra, and a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

The motorcycle driver, a 65-year-old man from Deltona, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Civic, a 23-year-old woman from New Jersey, and the driver of the Tundra, a 31-year-old man from Windermere, were not transported to the hospital and remained on scene.

A roadblock was established as of 4 p.m. for all eastbound lanes of I-4.

The crash is still under investigation by FHP Traffic Homicide Investigators.
