Desmond W. Allen

Desmond W Allen age 65, dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friends to many, passed away on October 30, 2022 after a very short battle with cancer.
He was born on March 2, 1957 to Billy Allen and Naomi Allen (Barker), in Tampa, Florida. He is survived by his brothers Maurice Allen (Roxann), Dennis Allen, Matt Allen (Wendy) and sister Billie Lewis. His parents preceded him in death.

Des married the love of his life, Kathi Allen, 41 years ago. They resided in Sanford, Florida for all of those years. They had 2 wonderful children Kristin Allen and Justin Allen. Des and Kathi have 4 adorable and amazing grandchildren, Braydn and Kyndal Olson, Jayson and Karya Allen.

His quick whit and funny sarcasm are going to be greatly missed by all who truly knew him. He was owner of Allen Flooring, Painting and Home Repairs. He worked at his profession in excess of 50 years. He enjoyed time spent with his family and friends, as well as watching his favorite old western shows. Many times he would state “my job is to make sure nobody steals the TV.”

A memorial service is being held at DeGusipe Funeral home on Saturday November 12, 2022. The family will be receiving guests at 12 Noon with the memorial service taking place at 1:00 PM. After the service, there will be a celebration of life upstairs in DeGusipe’s reception area
