Jan E. D. Nielsen, 92 died September 11.,2022 at her home in Winter Park, FL. Born in Elba, Alabama, she moved to Florida as a child and lived in many cities including Orlando.
Jan had two children, Ron and Janet Nielsen by a former husband.
She married Bruce Hartwigsen in February 2012. Bruce had three granddaughters who they loved very much and watched them play many many softball games. One granddaughter was a pitcher and the team won the Florida State, and regional Championship and played in the National Final.
Jan was a Life Master Duplicate bridge player and an avid golfer who played in several Golf Club matches. She was also a registered Nurse and had a private Pilot license .
She owned a summer home in Candler, NC near Asheville and spent about 20 summers there.
