A 61-year-old man was arrested by Volusia County narcotics officers after a search of his home turned up hundreds of grams of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and other drugs.
Cecil McCoy was arrested on Monday, November 14, after officers of the West Volusia Narcotics Task Force and Deltona Narcotics Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at his home, located at 127 W. Hagstrom Road in Pierson.
During their search, police recovered 129.7 grams of fentanyl, 104.7 grams of methamphetamine, 2 grams of cannabis, 11 Suboxone strips, 5 Hydrocodone pills, and $3,186 in cash.
In addition to the drugs, police recovered a .38 Special revolver and a .22 Remington rifle.
McCoy is facing multiple felony charges, including armed trafficking in fentanyl, armed trafficking in methamphetamine, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, among others. McCoy’s bond was set to $790,000.
