Racks Billiards Sports Bar & Grill was forced to temporarily close its doors after a food health inspector cited multiple violations, including the presence of roaches.
On Tuesday, November 8, an inspector with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation cited 21 health code violations during a visit to the bar, which is located at 312 Entrance Road in Sanford.
Among the violations were six considered high priority, including the presence of roaches. During the inspection, dozens of living and dead roaches were found all around the kitchen.
Additionally, small flying insects were found in the food preparation area and food storage areas.
The business was reinspected on the following day and permitted to reopen, despite 10 violations remaining.
