A 44-year-old Orlando man claimed a $1 million prize from a scratch-off he purchased at a local convenience store.
Shaun Frazier claimed a $1 million prize from the 500X THE CASH scratch-off game at the Florida Lottery’s Orlando District Office this week. Frazier chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000, according to a press release from the Florida Lottery.
Frazier purchased his winning ticket from Buddy’s Food & Lotto, which is located at 7219 Curry Ford Road in Orlando. The convenience store will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
The 500X THE CASH scratch-off series is a $50 game that features a top prize of $25 million, which is the largest prize ever offered on a Florida scratch-off game. The overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.5.
