Leon Paul Knecht

On Thursday, November 17th, 2022, Leon Paul Knecht, loving father, grandfather and brother, passed away at the age of 79.
Leon was born on August 8th, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York, to Julius and Sylvia (Dieber) Knecht. Leon spent his childhood and school age years in Brooklyn where he eventually met his wife, Judith (Pilot). Together, they lived in New Jersey, Albany and finally Florida, raising a family. Most recently, Leon had lived in Orlando, Florida with his daughter and two of his grandsons.

Leon’s gift of gab served him well as he continued to work in sales up until the time of his passing. He loved to talk to anyone about anything and was always up for a hearty and spirited debate on current affairs. Leon had a catalogue of wonderful and sometimes questionable jokes that he wasn’t afraid to use. No soap, radio.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Sylvia, and his wife Judith. He is survived by his daughter, Amy, his three beloved grandsons, Joshua, Benjamin and Michael, whom all felt so blessed to have had such a loving grandfather, and his sisters, Barbara and Lorraine.
