Nadine Carr Batts

Nadine Carr Batts entered heaven’s gates on November 19, 2022. She was 100 years old, just three weeks shy of her 101st birthday. She was born to Lester and Beulah Carr in Millerville, Alabama on December 14th, 1921, the youngest of their three children.

Nadine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and best friend. She loved her family unconditionally and always put them before herself. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was, how she was raised, and strove to pass these characteristics onto her children and grandchildren by example. Faith was at her core and her love for God shined through her; she set the example for us all to follow.

With her nurturing spirit and devout faith, Nadine and her husband Aubine served the children’s nursery at the First Baptist Church of Orlando for many years. Nadine is the embodiment of selflessness and strength, and she touched the lives of everyone she met. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Aubine L. Batts Jr. She is survived by her three loving children: Linda (Rick) White, Lee (Debbie) Batts, and Terri (Chuck) Collins. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
