33-year-old man found dead in Sanford apartment

Police have identified a victim who was found killed by gunshots in his Sanford apartment last week.

Phillip Michael McCrimmon Martin was found dead at the Vista Haven Apartments by Seminole County Sheriff’s Office deputies on Tuesday, November 22, after neighbors reported hearing gunshots just after 8 p.m. that evening.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered multiple shell casings and blood on a walkway. Blood was also found on the door of one of the apartments, where deputies forced entry and found the body of Martin, who was 33 years old.

The family of Martin will host a celebration of life service on Saturday, December 3, at 3:45 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church (4077 Prince Hall Boulevard).

Detectives are investigating the case and are asking anyone with information about the suspect or suspects involved to contact the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office at 407-665-6650, or the Central Florida Crimeline at 800-423-8477. Tips submitted to Crimeline that lead to the felony arrest of suspects are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000.
