Tree lighting ceremony, Eola Wonderland Snowfall in downtown Orlando

The city of Orlando will host its annual tree lighting celebration this week, which will also mark the beginning of a snowfall experience at Lake Eola Park.

On Friday, December 2, the city will host its tree lighting celebration beginning at 5 p.m. The event will feature holiday performances at the Walt Disney Amphitheater, food trucks, and a holiday market.

The event will be capped with the lighting of the 64-foot Christmas tree, which features 88,000 animated lights, at 8 p.m. The tree will be on display through January 6, 2023.

Also beginning on Friday, the Eola House will open its Eola Wonderland Snowfall, which features falling snowflakes on select evenings in 15-minute shows. Those shows will take place on Friday and Saturday nights at 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 8:30 p.m., and Sunday nights at all the same times except 8:30 p.m.

The event will also feature the opening of the Downtown Orlando Holiday Market, which will be available on select Fridays and Saturdays from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Sundays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
