A 41-year-old motorcyclist was killed after crashing into the back of a vehicle stopped at a red light in Brevard County just after midnight last night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident took place near the Interstate 95 overpass on State Road 520 on Friday, December 2, at around 12:45 a.m.
A 41-year-old Cocoa man was driving a 2007 Harley Davidson Sporster 88 eastbound on State Road 520/King Street, in the inside lane.
As the man was approaching the I-95 overpass, he struck into the back of a 2016 Toyota Tundra that was stopped in the eastbound, inside lane for a red traffic light underneath the overpass.
The motorcyclist was transported to Rockledge Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Tundra, a 48-year-old Saint Cloud man, was not injured in the crash.
