Orlando man identified as victim in fatal shooting

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has identified a 57-year-old man who was the victim of a fatal shooting in east Orlando last week.

Detectives are currently investigating the death of Lazaro Gamboa, who was shot and killed on Friday, December 2.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 1400 block of Dean Road at approximately 2 p.m. on that day after receiving calls regarding a shooting.

Upon arrival, deputies located Gamboa, who was suffering from gunshot wounds.

Gamboa was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office detectives are currently investigating the homicide and are asking anyone with information to contact the Central Florida Crimeline at 800-423-8477.
