A pedestrian was killed after he was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing Semoran Boulevard in Winter Park.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded to the fatal accident near the intersection of Semoran Boulevard and Aloma Avenue on Tuesday, December 6, at around 7 p.m.

According to police, the pedestrian was crossing from west to east on Semoran Boulevard and was stopped in the raised median area. As the pedestrian was stepping into northbound lane, he was struck by a Kia Optima being driven by a 19-year-old Winter Park man.

The pedestrian was transported to AdventHealth in Winter Park, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Authorities say they have not been able to identify the pedestrian because he was not carrying any identification at the time of the incident.
