A 29-year-old Saint Cloud man was killed after the vehicle he was riding in was struck head-on by a pickup truck that veered into oncoming traffic.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded to the intersection of Simpson Road and Eagle Bay Boulevard in Buena Ventura Lakes on Sunday, December 18, at around 5:32 a.m. after receiving a call regarding a fatal accident.
According to police, a 2016 Ford F-150 being driven by a 44-year-old Kissimmee man was traveling southbound on Simpson Road, just south of Eagle Bay Boulevard, when he failed to negotiate a right-hand curve and veered into the northbound lane.
The pickup truck crashed head-on into a 2018 Volkswagen Jetta being driven by a 22-year-old Saint Cloud woman.
All three occupants of both vehicles were transported to the Osceola Regional Hospital. The drivers received serious injuries in the crash, while the Saint Cloud man was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
