On Saturday, December 10, 2022, Pamela Joyce McClain beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend, passed away after a long illness. She was 89. Born to Margaret and Thomas Roff in London, England, Pamela lived through World War II as a child in London, later married an American in the Air Force stationed in the UK, and came to the United States in 1960, settling in Philadelphia, PA. She raised three loving children while working various jobs over the years, the last 20 years of employment as a bookkeeper at a law firm in downtown Philadelphia.
In retirement, Mum loved going out to eat, enjoyed a glass of wine and loved to go to the movies. She is survived by her three children, Keith, Craig and Karen, by her grandchildren, Ben and Nick, whom she adored and who brought new light to her life in her senior years, and by her younger brother Tony. She is preceded in death by her parents and by her brother Freddie. No services are planned. Mum loved animals, and donations to any local animal shelters or animal rescue groups would make her very happy.
