Seminole County seeking nominations for athletic hall of fame

Seminole County officials are seeking resident nominations for its sports hall of fame.

The Seminole County Leisure Services Department and the Seminole County Sports Hall of Fame Committee are asking the public to nominate athletes and sports contributors who have made a differeSnce in Seminole County over the past year.

Every year, six male and female athletes and contributors are inducted into the Seminole County Sports Hall of Fame. The group is acknowledged with an award, a feature in a press release, and an annual appreciation event.

Members are induced in a variety of categories, including athlete, contributor, legacy, and inclusion, which includes athletes or contributors with special needs.

Candidates must be from Seminole County and meet qualifications for their outstanding contribution or achievement.

Nominations will be accepted through March 31, 2023.
