Javier Glafiro Roman, 72, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022, at HCA Florida Osceola Hospital in Kissimmee with family and friends by his side.

Javier was a generous, kind-hearted man who was dearly loved by all who knew him. He was a dedicated father, husband, brother, uncle, and friend who prioritized the happiness of everyone around him. Loved ones were always welcome at his home where he would put a smile on their faces by strumming his guitar, cracking jokes, and working his magic in the kitchen or out on the grill. He was an excellent confidant and mentor to many and would move mountains for his family.

Javier was an electrical engineer in aerospace and defense. He was an engineer at Lockheed Martin for over 20 years. He had a Master of International Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico City, Mexico.

Javier was born on August 10, 1950 in Iguala, Guerrero in Mexico, the son of Urbano Roman and Irene Moreno. He married his wife of nearly 40 years, Isabel Roman, on January 29, 1983, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Orlando, Florida.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm (EST) on Tuesday, January 3 at A Community Funeral Home & Sunset Cremations, 910 W. Michigan Street, Orlando, Florida 32805.

A Catholic funeral mass will be held at 1:00 pm (EST) on Wednesday, January 4 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 6200 S Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, Florida 32809.

Final goodbyes will be held immediately following the conclusion of the Catholic funeral mass at Rose Hill Cemetery, 1615 Old Boggy Creek Road, Kissimmee, Florida 34744.

Javier is survived by his wife, Isabel Roman; daughters, Elizabeth Langer and her husband, Thomas, Irene Roman and her life partner, Joseph Guzman; two sisters, Irma Roman, Maricela Roman and her husband, Andres Garate; three brothers, Carlos Roman and his life partner, Monica Perez, Raul Roman and his wife, Belen Morales, and Urbano Roman; and many cherished nephews, nieces, and cousins.
