A group of southbound lanes on State Road 429 are currently closed as construction crews work on a hole in the road.
Crews are currently performing emergency road construction on a stretch of SR 429 in Orange County, near Independence Toll Plaza.
According to Florida511, the right three lanes of the highway’s southbound stretch are closed as of 8:30 a.m. on Friday.
Although information is sparse, the hole appears to have opened up on Thursday, December 22.
The severity of the hole has been classified as “major” by Florida511.
