Sandra Leigh Young Chase, 76, of Sanford, Florida, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Lake Monroe Hospital.
Born in Nassawadox, Virginia on November 2, 1946, to the late Norris J. Young and Ingelow Faye Young Ford, she was raised on Chincoteague Island, Virginia, and always considered the island her home. Leigh was a faithful mother, grandmother and animal lover, and friends will fondly recall her quick wit and passion for genealogy. She is survived by her son, Brent Bundick and his wife Stephanie of Keller, Texas, and their two daughters, Georgia and Brigit; and her brother, George W. Young and his wife Donna of Chincoteague Island. The family will hold private services. Leigh’s remains will be interred in the Young family plot in the Red Mens Cemetery on Chincoteague Island.
